Blog
This this 341 paged book,"Elijah of Buxton", is about an adventurous eleven-year old boy named, you guest it, Elijah. He was the first ever baby born free. But Elijah faces a major problem in the story. You see, Elijah's best friend, Cooter, was saving money to buy his real parents out of slavery. But a former slave steals cooter's hard earn money. Elijah decides to pursue the thief and retrieve cooter's money. That is, how I would say,“True friendship”.

So, what I said,”True Friendship” is a logical statement for this book. It can be explained in many ways. Like how Elijah decided to go get cooter's money back. There are also dangers along his journey. Such as slave traders could capture him, so that would mean risking HIS own freedom just to help cooter. I loved this book and all of it's funny characters. I STONGLY recommend this book to any one. It's full of action, drama, excitement, funniness, and much, much more!
